there are advantages to having two working sisters. other than getting real-world perspectives on many things, cash for birthdays and occasional family dinner treats are also some examples heheh. shotengai at iluma is good, by the way :P

budget quiz finally came to an end. a culmination of all that we have done, from setting questions since last sem to the final, agonising week, defined by
- going to bed at 3am and waking up at 6+am.
- trips to MOF and supreme court for final set ups
- placard making and other miscellaneous stuff in the econs room
- staring at computer screens for hours and hours on end till the wee hours of the morning
- hyperlinks, hyperlinks, HYPERLINKS

there were screw-ups (some of which i was, unfortunately, a culprit of), and i was so glad when the whole thing was over. it was some experience, but really, once is enough! thank God for all the awesome teammates and leaders (like pris :D)



german at GAP level is tough. it's not the grammar. in fact, there is less grammar now than before. at this level, it's all the reading, comprehension, writing etc. and we touch on issues that are more real-world.

really glad for Frau Niemann's extra material and knowledge regarding germany in so many diff aspects. history, culture, politics, social issues and so on. things that i have cultivated a deep interest in since the beginning of my NUS years.

the social, economic and political issues that she talks about are the ones i see happening in the news, in TIME, on deutsche welle, on the streets in germany. as she talks about germany's troubled past and present, and contemplates the future, it feels ever more real to me.

i never once cease to be thankful to be in a class where i have one of the best for a german teacher. :)

and of course, Frau Chen too, who makes tutorial every fri a joy.

it's nice too, to see myself and the familiar faces in german class move up together. esp those from stuttgart. it feels like we're all in this together, and although we're going for exchange at different times (mart etc in 1wk+ omg! and some already there), it's amazing how far we've come.


GAP will be the last, and only just a few weeks more :(
